Markets & Trading

Markets are the platforms where financial instruments such as Stocks and ETFs can be traded between buyers and sellers.

To engage in buying or selling specified financial instruments, an investor/trader must access at least one of the markets where these instruments are traded. FIX and REST APIs provide the necessary access to such markets.

Definition

Before delving into our platform, a clear understanding of basic terms is essential: order, deal, and position.

Order

An order is an instruction given to a broker to buy or sell a financial instrument. There are two main types of orders: Market and Limit/Pending. Additionally, there are special levels: "Take Profit" and "Stop Loss" .

Deal

A deal is a commercial exchange (buying or selling) of a financial security. Buying is executed at the demand price (Ask), and selling is performed at the supply price (Bid). A deal can be opened as a result of a market order execution or a pending/limit order triggering. Note that in some cases, the execution of an order can result in several deals.

Position

A position is the quantity of a security that is owned, the number of bought financial instruments.
